似乎石頭從開始出現的時候，就已經背負上了一種使命，從古至今，石頭這兩個字似乎本身就代表著滄海桑田，它見證了若干個時代的更迭變換，以及無數個家庭的離合悲歡。

It seems that stone has already carried a mission when it presented itself.From ancient times to present,"stone" these two Chinese characters seem to represent changes themselves,for it witnesses changes of certain eras,plus partings and reunions of countless families.

然而，在這份見證變化的途中，也有很多是未曾改變的。諸如銜石填海，見證的是一個民族堅韌執著的風骨；匪石匪席，昭示的是真摯熱烈的初衷。千百年來，不論是它歷經滄桑變幻而形成的主體，還是它象徵的精神和品格，都已經成為了人們無法割捨的痕跡。

However,there are still many things that have never changed in the process of witnessing changes.For example, mythical Bird Jingwei’s devotion to carry stones to fill up the sea witnessed the tenacity and persistence of our national spirits;"a stone can change,but never a heart;a mat can reverse,but never a heart",this idiom shows a sincere and fervent original aspiration.For a thousand years,no matter the body of the stone that forms after going through vicissitudes and changes or the spirit and character that it symbolizes,all has been the traces that people cannot bear to let go.

上相造物，正是以「石」為媒介。在每一次產品設計的碰撞之中，我們都是竭力在讓設計回歸到每種“石頭”本身的屬性上。

The creation by SHANGXIANG is precisely based on "stone" as the medium.In each impact on product design,we are trying to return design to attributes of each kind of "stone".

就像上相選擇的玄青石是屬於花崗岩，是世界上最堅硬的石材之一，它歷經風磨雨蝕而極具質感，其本身特殊的質地，更是冷靜中透露著優雅，質樸中凸顯著韻味。也正因如此，以它為原材料雕琢出的作品才極具感染力。

For example,the stone material used by SHANGXIANG is a kind of granite,one of the stone materials featuring highest hardness in the world.It boasts super texture after being eroded by wind and rain,calm but elegant, simple but charming are its features shown by its special texture.It is for this very reason that works carved of it is greatly appealing.

我們堅信，如果想要傳承好這份文化，便必然要講述好「石頭」自己的故事，讓那一道道歷經千年的文化景觀，同石器本身的特質融合，繼續以良性的方式，在現在及未來蓬勃生長。

We firmly believe that if we want to pass on this culture,we are inevitable to tell a good story of the "stone" itself;we are inevitable to integrate the cultural landscapes that have gone through an elapse of a thousand years with the qualities of the stone utensils themselves.Only in this way can this culture continue to boom favorably both at present and in future.

石頭或許正是這樣一位無言的記錄者，在它的身上我們看到的是一個民族行過歲月的足跡，不論是享譽中外的三大石窟，還是聲名遠播的崇武古城，它們讓我們看到的都是關於“石”所承載的一份足以撼動世界的力量。

Stone may be such a speechless history keeper that make us can see the traces that show a nation goes through the years.No matter the three world-renowned grottoes or the well-known Chongwu ancient city,they present a force carried by "stone" which is strong enough to shake the whole world.

我們正在竭盡所能想讓這份力量得以延續，我們想讓它們在未來世界的每一眼，都依舊能負載起文化的千萬年。

We're doing everything we can to keep these forces alive, and we want them to continue to carry cultures of million years in every glimpse from the future world.
