In china more than 720,000 people have got pneumoconiosis. And there are still lots of workers who still don’t have protection during dust operation.

Opportunities for the design of an innovative half-mask respirator we identified through design research methods. The concept is called V+Repirator which is intended to be used by people who do dust operation to protect themselves. It is designed to be easy to use and comfortable to wear. It is equipped with smart sensors to monitor the condition of the filter. This book will introduce the background, research methods and the concept development process.
