This project has been designed specifically for TCR Robotics, we were invited to design a fresh look for the new TCR 7-Axis robotic arm family. This agile, collaborative robot is focused on precise operation for industrial use. Nevertheless, its compact design enables it to fully operate within small work cells, reaching the same cycle times as the 6-Axis.

For this project, our role, alongside the TCR engineering team, was to engineer and develop the premiere TCR collaborative robot arm. Thanks to the 7-axis motors, the movements of the robot arm can be extremely agile and flexible. The project scope included the design direction of a new TCR aesthetic, refined design details for a more cohesive product, and a CMF plan.

In this design process, we had to deeply understand all arm movements and tasks requiring special attention. Our approach began with trimming any unnecessary volume, carving it like a sculpture. Enhancing the focus on the beauty of the human muscle and translating it into our design language.
