《旧梦》
「1985年6月12日凌晨3时45分,湖北省宜昌市新滩镇发生特大滑坡。西陵峡畔长约2000米、宽约800米的山体整体崩滑,约340万立方米土石倾泻入长江,激起近50米高的涌浪。依山而建的青滩古镇在顷刻之间被卷入江中,船只沉没,房屋尽毁。在灾难发生之前,当地地质监测部门已持续多年对滑坡体进行监测,并在滑坡前发出预警。镇村干部连夜组织群众撤离,457户1371名居民全部及时转移,无一人伤亡。这场灾害也被称为中国滑坡监测预警史上的一次奇迹。」
实验影像《旧梦》(Lingering Dream)的创作起点源于对1985年我家乡湖北秭归新滩滑坡事件的再次审视与感知。该事件以“零伤亡”的结果被记录于公共叙事之中,在再创作过程中,影像更想表达的不在于再现灾难本身,而在于一次乡土空间的整体消失与重构。依山而建的聚落在瞬间被水体吞没,而新的空间在其之上重新生成。基于这一认识,本片并未试图对历史事件进行再现,而是将关注点转向一个更为核心的问题:当空间消失之后,它以何种方式继续存在。围绕这一问题,影像逐渐从“事件”转向“空间”,并通过水下场域、视觉残影与感知延续,试图构建出一种以长江流水为媒介的时间性表达。
《旧梦》旨在以一种如江水般流动的影像风格探讨乡土空间的消逝和峡江人们浓浓的乡愁,而在废墟上重构生活,再次奏响新时代的凯歌,正是一代又一代峡江儿女给予这片山川最厚重的回响。
The creative genesis of the experimental video Lingering Dream stems from a re-examination and perceptual shift regarding the 1985 Xintan landslide in my hometown of Zigui, Hubei. While public narrative chronicles the event through the lens of "zero casualties," this work seeks not to reenact the disaster itself, but to articulate the total disappearance and reconstruction of rural spatiality. Settlements built against the mountainside were swallowed by the water in an instant, only for new spaces to regenerate atop the void. Driven by this realization, the film pivots from historical reconstruction to a more fundamental inquiry: In what manner does space persist after its physical vanishing? By shifting the focus from "event" to "space," the imagery employs underwater fields, visual afterimages, and sensory continuity to construct a temporal expression mediated by the flowing waters of the Yangtze.
