architectanddesign The Missing Sister is one of six ancient Greek statues known as Caryatids, taken from #Athens, Greece, to #London in the 1800s. She now sits in the #British Museum, far from her "sisters," who remain in Athens.

Many believe the statues should be reunited, but efforts have so far been in vain. Created by the renowned sculptor Phidias and his team more than 2,400 years ago, these intricate figures once adorned the Erechtheion, a sacred temple on the Acropolis that symbolized the heart of Greek culture and civilization.

The Missing Sister stands as a symbol of cultural loss and reminds us of the importance of returning what does not rightfully belong to us.
