Through two thousand years of time, the treasure of the Chu Culture Museum in Shouxian County, Anhui Province - the "Copper Gilded Beast shaped Thrower" - has been revitalized and transformed into a lively and lovely cultural ambassador - Chu Xiaotou!
The design inspiration of Chu Xiaotou comes from the unique shape and exquisite craftsmanship of the Chu state's teapot ritual vessel. It retains the majesty and mystery of bronze mythical beasts, with a head resembling a dragon or a tiger, and bright eyes that seem to embody the reverence and imagination of the Chu ancestors towards all things in heaven and earth.
As an IP born in Shouxian, a fertile land of Chu culture, Chu Xiao has deeply imprinted the mark of his hometown: the main color scheme of his body adopts the ancient and elegant "bronze green" and the symbol of nobility "gilded gold", which is a tribute to the true nature of cultural relics. Its forehead or scales are adorned with the wave patterns of Shaopi (Anfengtang), symbolizing Shouxian's water conservancy civilization as the "number one pond in the world" nourishing for thousands of years. The claws or tail tips cleverly blend into the white and round shape of "tofu", echoing Shouxian's unique identity as the birthplace of tofu. The body is adorned with simplified Chu style cloud patterns and phoenix bird patterns, flowing and elegant, showcasing the romance and soaring of Chu art.
Chu Xiaotou is not only a static cultural and creative image, but also a vibrant and interactive cultural symbol. It symbolizes the joy of "throwing pots" in the banquet etiquette of the Chu state, symbolizing communication, exchange, participation, and cultural transmission. It will guide everyone into the Shouxian Chu Culture Museum in a lively and friendly manner, touching the glorious history of the golden sound and jade vibration, and the sound of bells and bells, and experiencing the unique charm of the ancient city of Shouchun spanning thousands of years.
