一场关于山海的构想实验

东海之滨，宁波象山，以其独特的地理优势，孕育了丰富的自然景观和深厚的文化底蕴。碧波万顷的东海，波光粼粼，岛屿星罗棋布，如同散落在海面上的珍珠，与连绵起伏的山峦相映成趣。
The coast of the East China Sea, Ningbo Xiangshan, with its unique geographical advantages, has nurtured rich natural landscape and profound cultural heritage. The East Sea, a vast expanse of green, shimmering islands scattered across the sea, like pearls scattered on the sea, and the rolling mountains set off.
项目所在的区域被称作“饭桶山”，凭借诙谐有趣的地名和原生态的自然环境，逐渐发展为一个备受年轻人喜爱的户外生活方式目的地。
The area where the project is located, known as "Rice Bucket Mountain", has gradually developed into an outdoor lifestyle destination popular with young people, thanks to its humorous place names and original natural environment.
MARS主持设计的宁波象山水闸改造项目位于涂茨镇道人山南侧。水闸向内隔出围涂海塘，向外可远眺乱礁洋的壮丽景色。
The renovation project of Ningbo Xiangshan sluice Gate designed by MARS Studio is located on the south side of Daoren Mountain in Tuci Town. The lock separates the Wai Tu seawall from the inside, and the magnificent scenery of the chaotic reef and ocean can be overlooked from the outside.
在城市的脉络中，水闸如同一位沉默的守护者，静静地履行着它的职责，往往被忽视在人们的视线之外。然而，新的水闸改造形象，旨在唤醒这份沉默，激发人们对人与环境之间深刻关系的思考。
In the context of the city, the sluice is like a silent guardian, quietly fulfilling its duties and often being ignored out of sight. However, the new image of the sluice is designed to awaken this silence and inspire people to think about the profound relationship between people and the environment.
我们的设计灵感源自于远处山水相连的壮丽画卷，经过精心的改造，水闸的形态焕然一新。新的立面设计，如同连绵起伏的山峦，与自然景观无缝衔接，成为山脉的延续。全新的立面造型不仅在视觉上形成了一种动态的节奏感，也在空间上与远处的山脉相呼应，仿佛是大自然的杰作在建筑上的再现。
Our design is inspired by the magnificent picture of distant mountains and rivers, and after careful transformation, the form of the sluice takes on a new look. The new facade design, like a rolling mountain, seamlessly integrates with the natural landscape and becomes a continuation of the mountains. The new facade not only creates a dynamic rhythm visually, but also responds spatially to the mountains in the distance, as if it were an architectural reproduction of a masterpiece of nature.
考虑到其独特的地理位置和宏伟的体量，我们试图从两个方面来回应水闸的立面改造：一方面，致力于满足水闸在的功能需求——作为交通的连接点和水资源调控的关键设施；另一方面，着眼于水闸的所处环境，与山水对话，并发掘其作为空间标志性和公共性的潜力。
Taking into account its unique geographical location and magnificent volume, we tried to respond to the facade renovation of the sluice from two aspects: on the one hand, to meet the functional needs of the sluice - as a connection point for traffic and a key facility for water resource regulation; On the other hand, focus on the environment of the sluice, dialogue with the landscape, and explore its potential as a spatial landmark and public.
我们的设计强调了建筑边界的清晰与表皮的透明，旨在创造一种既独立又融合的空间体验：坚固的边界赋予建筑以力量和安全感，而透明的表皮则让空间与周围环境相互渗透，成为广阔自然的一部分。
Our design emphasizes the clarity of the building's boundaries and the transparency of its skin, aiming to create a spatial experience that is both independent and integrated: the solid boundaries give the building strength and security, while the transparent skin allows the space to permeate the surrounding environment and become part of the vast nature.
水闸的另一个记忆点，在于其表皮的模糊化效果，这种虚焦感与象山淳朴的自然环境产生了奇妙的化学反应。金属网的半透明特性，释放出沉静稳定的情绪，让建筑与周围的山水景观相互渗透，既保持了建筑的独立性、统一性和抗风性，又与自然景观形成了一种和谐的对话。
Another memory of the sluice lies in the blurring effect of its skin, which creates a wonderful chemical reaction with the pure natural environment of Xiangshan. The translucent nature of the metal mesh releases a calm and stable mood, allowing the building to penetrate into the surrounding landscape, not only maintaining the independence, unity and wind resistance of the building, but also forming a harmonious dialogue with the natural landscape.
在这里，水闸成为了一座与山川湖海共栖的“山海之界”。水闸不仅仅是一个功能性的基础设施，还是链接自然与文化的桥梁。通过改造，水闸将成为一座能够引发深思和对话的在地的公共空间，它邀请每一位过客，去思考我们与这片环境之间不可分割的联系，去感受那份与自然和谐共存的宁静。
Here, the sluice has become a "mountain and sea boundary" with mountains, lakes and seas. The sluice is not only a functional infrastructure, but also a bridge linking nature and culture. Through the transformation, the sluice will become a local public space for reflection and dialogue, inviting each passing visitor to reflect on our inextricable connection to the environment and to experience the peace that exists in harmony with nature.
