The shape of the guzheng is flat and rectangular. It is about 163 centimeters in full length and made of paulownia wood. The overall structure is convex on the top, hollow in the middle, and flat on the bottom. It is composed of parts such as the faceplate, bridge pins, strings, front mountain, string pegs, tuning box, footrests, rear mountain, side panels, sound outlet, bottom plate, and string threading holes.
