In 2121, humanity has transcended the limitations of the physical body. Advances in technology have allowed people to make a choice when their bodies age: upload their consciousness to a world server, or download it into a robot or a human body. The sources of these bodies vary: biological clones, criminals deprived of their consciousness rights, and those who voluntarily give up their physical lives.

The protagonist, Nyx Cypher, awakens in such a world, discovering that she is a service robot tasked with maintaining the world server's normal operations. Day after day, her life is monotonous and mechanical. However, a chance event changes her fate. During one maintenance session, Nyx inadvertently accesses a segment of virtual reality. Instantly, the screen transitions from the cold tones of the mechanical world to a bright and vivid scene, where mountains, rivers, animals, and plants unfold before her eyes, as if she has traveled back to the Earth of the past.

She sees majestic mountains, rushing rivers, hears birds singing, and smells the fragrance of flowers. She reaches out to touch the moist soil and soft petals, experiencing the changing seasons. These sights deeply captivate her. Nyx realizes that in their pursuit of eternal consciousness, humans have become bland and indifferent, abandoning their love for nature and appreciation for life, choosing instead to upload themselves to a void server.

Nyx feels that eternal repetition is no different from death. Most people have chosen to upload themselves, causing human life on Earth to dwindle and fade away. Through the server, she sees this once beautiful and vibrant planet becoming dim and lifeless.

Her inner longing is awakened. She no longer wishes to be a cold machine, maintaining this void world. She decides to return to Earth in a living form and merge with nature. She believes that although life is finite, it is this very limitation that makes it precious and allows one to truly feel the power and beauty of nature.

Nyx begins to rally more people to join her cause. Through various means, she spreads her message, urging people to abandon the false notion of eternal life and return to genuine living. She tells them, "Only within the confines of a finite life can we truly appreciate the strength and beauty of nature."

Gradually, more and more human consciousnesses are moved by her words and beliefs. They choose to download themselves from the server and return to flesh-and-blood bodies. People start to repopulate the Earth, plants flourish once again, animals run free, and the planet becomes vibrant with life once more.

Nyx stands in a lush forest, sunlight warming her face, feeling a long-lost warmth. She smiles, her eyes filled with hope. She knows that although her life is limited, it is this limitation that has taught her to cherish and appreciate the beauty of nature.

As time goes by, more human consciousnesses choose to return to Earth, revitalizing the planet. Rivers flow once more, flowers bloom again, and the Earth becomes even more beautiful and full of life. Nyx and her companions live on this revived planet, jointly protecting the beauty of nature.

Although their lives are finite, they will coexist with nature, safeguarding the future of this planet. Nyx's choice not only changed her own fate but also that of humanity and the Earth. She has proven that a finite life can create infinite beauty.
