Jiujiang has produced many celebrities in Chinese history, such as Yin Koh Tschen (Yinko Chen).

Yin Koh Tschen (1890-1969), named Heshou, a native of Xiushui, Jiangxi Province, was born in Changsha, Hunan on July 3, 1890, and died in Guangzhou on October 7, 1969.

He was the most prestigious modern Chinese historian, classical literature researcher and linguist, and one of the four mentors of Tsinghua University.
