Writers-cosmetics packaging design

I made a conceptual design for

a set of cosmetics packaging for one individual brand.

The brand positions itself as the first option for sophisticated light makeup for urban working women and the first products they launched are double-color eye shadow, liquid foundation, and lipstick.

I assigned the theme ‘writer’ to the series of cosmetics packaging. All the packages use plastic with a

shiny electroplated metal layer.

This material has strong and unique characteristics with a very metallic and smooth surface, and this was done for the following reasons: Firstly, the reflective surface can be used as a mirror occasionally for quick make-up, especially during commutes, which working women do usually.

This is a practical concern. Secondly, the only decoration 

these packages is famous quotes from famous writers such as Mishima Yukio, Woody Allen and William Somerset Maugham marking the surface, and this can emphasize the simplicity. Finally, the charm of literary works is that everyone will have a unique understanding of them; this mirror-like surface is also a metaphor for the charm of literature.
