云肩：

即披在肩上的服饰。云在中国人的观念中也有“美好”之意。最早的云肩形象见于敦煌隋代壁画中；五代开始有关于云肩的使用记载；元代云肩开始为百姓所用；明清时期云肩以成为流行的日常服饰，并出现“云肩通袖”样式；民国之后云肩逐渐仅存于极具文化代表性的传统戏曲服饰或婚庆服饰之中；而近几年云肩常出现于毕业典礼的学士服搭配中。

Cloud shoulder：

meaning the textile on the shoulder. cloud having a "lovely" moral in Chinese notion. we can find the earliest shape of cloud shoulder in the Dun Huang murals from Sui dynast; the record of its use way started in WuDai dynast; its into populace life in Yuan dynast; its became the daily dress in Ming and Qing dynast, at the meantime appeared a "cloud shoulder across sleeve" ;after the republic of China, its gradually only existed in the traditional opera or wedding dress which is have extremely culture representatively；and in recent years, its usually as ornaments for academic dress of university graduate ceremony.
