孤儿怨 字体设计｜NARRATIVE OF ‘ESTHER’

这是根据电影《孤儿怨》主角Esther的字体设计、排版和视觉叙事。

Esther是一名成年女性，外表只有 9 岁，实际年龄却有 33 岁。在这个小女孩天使般的面孔背后，有着不为人知的一面。

在这个项目中，我深入分析了Esther的性格，并将其延伸为字体的形式。我从她的外表、古怪的性格和孤独的成长经历等特质中汲取灵感。最后，创作了一份将图片和文字视觉化的报纸。

The Typographic Voice and Visual Narrative of Esther, the main character in the film ‘Orphan’. Esther is an adult woman who is nine years old in appearance but 33 years old in reality. Behind the angelic face of this little girl is a side that is not known.

In this project, I analyzed the character of Esther in-depth and extended it into the form of a typeface. I drew references from her attributes such as her good looks, eccentric personality, and lonely upbringing. I ended up creating a newspaper that visualizes the images and the text.

1. 伤疤｜SCAR

SCAR的灵感来源于 ESTHER 的 "伤疤"。 她曾经一直被绑在紧身衣(用以束缚精神病患者)里，她的持续挣扎，造成了脖子上不可恢复的伤疤，使她不得不用丝带将其隐藏。

2. 我爱你，爸爸 | I LOVE YOU DADDY

她的身体没有完全长成一个女人，也没有完全变成一个孩子，她很难与一个 "正常 "的男人建立成人关系，而这正是她最渴望的。

她曾试图引诱父亲，但失败了，于是她杀了父亲和他的家人，并放火烧了房子。在电影中，他再次想要引诱第二任继父，但最终以失败告终。

3. 出了问题 ｜ SOMETHING WRONG

她患有垂体功能减退症，这是一种罕见的激素紊乱，阻碍了她的身体发育，并导致侏儒症。她一生中的大部分时间都在假扮小女孩。这组作品中的水果和素材恰恰体现了这种反差。

4. 伪装 ｜ FUDGING

这个方向的灵感来自Esther的伪装。是棉花糖伪装成棉花？ 还是棉花伪装成棉花糖？就好像Esther伪装成了一个女人和一个女孩。

5. 虐待｜ ABUSED

被虐待是Esther生活中的日常。被害者什么样不重要，施暴者从不挑人，错的是他们本身。

6. 天堂｜ HEAVEN

地狱可能是恶人的天堂，天堂可能是恶人的地狱。或许对Esther，地狱就是她的天堂。
