【Tableau】 Learning and Thinking in BA
This notes is the learning and thinking note for the book "Tableau and Business Analysis: From new hand to master hand". It mainly introduces the application of Tableau in Business Analysis, There are about 15 chapters in this book, and I learn the former 12 chapters and finish the visualization.
The notes focus on three big topics of business analysis: product, customers and marketing. For the first topic, I focus on the competition analysis with the diversity of each brand, and then use Tableau to show. The analysis of the edge of the product, the time series analysis with the history situation are going on. What's more, I learn to assess the value of combination of related commodities by the two dimension quadrants.
For the second topic, I think this is more related with the cases in intelligent retailing for that we need to use model and some algorithm to cluster the customers on the basic of their features and their shopping behaviors. Visualization will continually be used in clustering customers, users retention and RFM. Finally, we analyze the sale performance in each degree of discount.
For the third topic, we focus more on strategy of marketing, we first use diversified charts to see whether the agent is valuable for us to invest, and then give a A/B test to see which strategy is better, finally we give a correlation analysis for shopping basket.
Additionally, text data is more important in data analysis, it can contribute more valuable information. So based on the comments of a shopping platform, we use tableau to show the text data in emotional analysis.
