如虎添艺

传统虎年春节之际，设计制作了新年礼包《如虎添艺 ART ROARRR！》。揣摩设计“侵入”传统的尺度，思考如何将“艺术”不违和的添入固有媒介：对联、福字等之中，是在这套礼包设计时着重思考的问题。

在“虎”的形象上，从造型、姿态和颜色三个切面，解构非遗剪纸中重要的一脉：河北蔚县传统剪纸。以传统为基础重新设计演化出当代的“艺虎”。

而在对联和福字的字体上，则参考传统毛笔墨字在红纸间肆意挥洒的状态，将所用到的字体重新设计。粗壮的纵划和自然出现的连笔，意图在当代字体中传达传统笔势喷薄而出的冲击力。

ART ROARRR!

"ART ROARRR!" is a gift set designed to welcome the arrival of the year of the Tiger. We sincerely consider how art and design can facilitate the presentation of tradition, and this attempt is well-accomplished in our design of the couplet and the “lucky” character offered in this set.

The traditional paper cutting from the Yu County of Hebei province inspires the “tiger” image presented here from the perspectives of shape, posture and color. It also provides a solid foundation for contemporary interpretations towards traditional culture, leading to the creation of “Art Tiger” we have in "ART ROARRR!".

In redesigning the fonts of couplets and the “lucky” character, we take reference to the brandish way of performing calligraphy writing on red paper. The strong vertical and spontaneous joined-up strokes convey the feeling of traditional strokes spurting out from these contemporary fonts.
