Sanctuary

Sanctuary is a short drone film about one of the most iconic architecture in Russia - churches

Cathedrals, small churches, belfry, monasteries, and temples are all part of the Russian culture and architecture scene. They have been here for many years, survived wars, fires, communism, floods, and other disasters. Was rebuild, restructured, turn down and build again. In this film, I wanted to showcase just a tiny sample of those beautiful buildings in their natural environments. There are many more located across the country in cities, in towns, on the islands in the forests, so it's impossible to showcase all of them, and with this film, I just wanted to give a small test of those traditional orthodox architectures.

Most churches showcase in this film shot not far from Moscow, including the one and only and symbol of orthodox churches in Russia - The Church of the Intercession of the Holy Virgin on the Nerl River.
