十二生肖，又叫屬相，是中國與十二地支相配以人出生年份的十二種動物，包括鼠、牛、虎、兔、龍、蛇、馬、羊、猴、雞、狗、豬。 十二生肖的起源與動物崇拜有關。據湖北雲夢睡虎地和甘肅天水放馬灘出土的秦簡可知，先秦時期即有比較完整的生肖系統存在。最早記載與現代相同的十二生肖的傳世文獻是東漢王充的《論衡》。
