The topic that I have chosen is a study of the differences that exist between design teaching methods, and students’ approaches to design and creative thinking in China and Ireland. As a person who has studied design in China for three years and is completing the final year of design course in Ireland, there are many differences between the approaches of the two colleges’ design teaching and the ways that students think about and approach their design work. In addition, I wish to capture the experience of a student studying in a different culture and what that involves.
