凯斯鲍尔在德国的乌尔姆市创建了以他名字命名的公司，从那时开始，凯斯鲍尔就开始生产专门用于旅客运输的客车了，但是直到1950年，在凯斯鲍尔公司的基础上才正式更名为Setra公司，而此时的Setra则专门致力于制造豪华型客车。
