In 1923, the Beijing-Zhangjiakou Railway was built, and the Wudaokou Village was gradually developed around the "fifth crossing". Since the establishment of Wudaokou station on line 13 in 2003, this area has been developing rapidly, and has become a traffic and activity concentrated place in numerous universities, working units and residential quarters. In the process of rapid urbanization, Wudaokou area was constructed completely under the master planning which is lack of the perspective of residents. And this area has shown broken texture. The existence of Beijing-Zhangjiakou railway also causes congestion here. With the closure of the Beijing - Zhangjiakou Railway in the end of 2016, a new opportunity emerged in this area around the railway reformation. But different people have different activities and different problems at different times even at the same place. So I analyzed the site from the percpective of time by slicing a day to pieces and got the distribution of people and corresponding needs in this block. The Haidian district has been the center of new thought creation since the early twentieth Century. In order to continue the city context, a new regional cultural center was designed in this block. In order to integrate blocks and dredge congestion, I combine the viaduct bridge with the open residential area, at the same time, I also add convenient facilities for the residents. By designing the green way, the abandoned railway is reused, at the same time, the huge steam of people in the rush hour could be accommodated.And I design a square in the southern side of this area to solve two major problems — the lack of leisure space in the commercial area and the subway station congestion.
