The Mercy Heritage Centre (MHC)品牌设计
BACKGROUND
The Mercy Heritage Centre (MHC) opened in 2010 in the former Sisters of Mercy convent at All Hallows’ School. Its mission was to preserve, interpret and promote the unfolding story of the Sisters of Mercy and Mercy ministries (i.e. organisations and activities associated with the Sisters).
While the MHC’s intent was to cover the past, present and future of the Mercy story, a 2014 review of the Centre found that the exhibits focussed too strongly on the past and did not reveal or explore the Sisters’ present day social justice and outreach activities. The review found that the MHC’s displays were seen to be static and lacked links with Brisbane’s wider social history.
In 2016 work commenced the re-launch the Centre as a dynamic and vibrant multipurpose facility that caters to a broad range of visitors. The Centre will be a hub that showcases the extraordinary achievements of the Mercy Sisters and explores the social justice works of the Mercy ministries.
