三峡茶区黒茶历史悠久,早在1700多年前的三国时期即有黑茶生产雏影,三国时期文学家张揖在《广雅》中曾有记载:“荆巴间采叶做饼,叶老者,饼成以米膏出之。”描写的是古代三峡人采割成熟粗老茶叶,在加工时为增加其含水量提高柔软度,制作时添加米浆,经过发酵而压缩制作成茶饼,以满足长期保存和运输需求。
