Brad Pitt Becomes Unlikely Skincare Founder, Launches 'Le Domaine'

by Rudy Sanchez on 09/22/2022 | 2 Minute Read

When they were still Brangelina, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie purchased a 1,000-acre estate in provincial France called Chateau Miraval. At the time, the vineyard needed an expert to restore and revitalize it, so the new estate owners partnered with Marc Perrin and restarted the wine business.

Since then, Chateau Miraval has explored other products the estate could potentially produce. In 2017, they began offering biodynamically grown, pesticide-free olive oil, and they also reopened their long-dormant music studio built by jazz musician and previous Miraval owner Jacques Loussier. But the latest product from Miraval isn’t wine, olive oil, or music—it’s skincare.

Le Domaine is a new premium skincare brand that uses unique molecules derived partly from Miraval grapes called GSM10 and ProGR3. All products are 96-99% natural in origin, with a strict blocklist of ingredients. Additionally, the formulations and brand design are intentionally gender-neutral.

While Le Domaine counts Brad Pitt as a founder and owner, the Bullet Train star will not be the face of the brand, according to an exclusive interview with Vogue.

Besides the bright yellow used for the copy, the bottles and jars' most-catching feature is the previously-mentioned caps made from recycled casks. The grooves on the caps recall rows of grape vines, and the gold-colored piece adds a luxe touch to the minimal packaging.

Le Domaine is available now on the brand’s website, with shipments starting on October 1st.
