Graham Coxon is a genius musician. He came to prominence as the lead guitarist of the rock band Blur, and is also a widely acclaimed solo artist. ‘Coxon’ is my homage to him, to his music.
Coxon is a sanserif typeface which has a stable frame like DIN. Honestly, I don’t think such a classic DIN-style typeface could remind people of Graham Coxon. So I transformed the frame a little bit, and made some letters look quirky, especially the ‘g’ and the ‘x’.
It’s interesting for me because only a few changes can make the typeface look completely different. Though some letters ain’t easy-to-recognized, It makes a special sense of visual in typography.
I suggest to use it on title, because of its strong vision and the relatively large weight.
