A homage to Eric Gill and Max Gill. This typeface is called Gravesend, a quiet town of England. Gravesend is based on Max Gill’s Headstone Standard Alphabet in 1914 to 1918, and Eric Gill’s Figure 25. All these letters are clear, proper and stylish, especially the uppercase letter ‘ A, J, L, Q, R, Z ’ and the lowercase letter ‘ a, g, n, t, y ’.
There are two special features in Gravesend: sharp and decisive serif, and elegant curves on the shoulders of ‘ h, m, n ’ which is not exactly vertical. These two features emphasis on the crafts of carving letters.
